Our Monday lunchtime and Thursday morning classes prove to be two of the most popular at the club. High intensity interval training is a type of training where you alternate, short, very high intensity intervals with longer, slower intervals to recover. Guaranteed to help improve your performance, you will notice a significant difference in your other workouts with your improved stamina and endurance. These classes will help you burn calories all day long as your body works to balance itself after the workout meaning you’ll burn extra calories even if you’re just sitting about afterwards, can’t complain about that!
Ab Blast / Core Fusion
Our abs classes are a great way to tone up the troublesome abdominal region! The class consist of specific moves, sequences and routines put together to give you a great abdominal workout. Even if you have never been to a class before and simply want to tone up this class is a fun alternative to the gym and is suitable for all abilities. As well as a boost in energy levels, you will feel your core muscles getting tougher and your abs becoming leaner. This is a great class to define your shape the way you want it!
Flex & Move
This quick 15 minute lunchtime class is designed specifically to help increase your overall flexibility and mobility. These two thing are so important and this educational class can be easily adapted into your own workouts to allow for better performance when playing sports or exercising, and in your day-to-day activities makes bending, walking, and lifting easier.
This intense 45 minute class will have you sweating from the word go! Using a wide spectrum of exercises from spin, step, high/low impact, sports conditioning and frankly whatever the instructor feels like throwing at you, this class is guaranteed to challenge your aerobic and anaerobic thresholds every time. Blast your cardio fitness level through the roof with this brilliant class that will work your whole body, be prepared to sweat, breathe hard and get fit!
In need of an end of week stress reliever? Fighting fit is the perfect class to challenge you, motivate you, and release all that stress that’s been building up all week. A combination of cardio and circuits aiming to improve strength, aerobic fitness, speed, flexibility, coordination and balance providing you with an amazing total body workout. Come try one of the most popular fitness trends, and kick, jab, cross, hook and uppercut your way to a fitter you (without actually hitting anyone!).
Come challenge yourself and pedal through hill climbs, sprints, and many other challenging drills and exercises. This highly aerobic class is a great cardiovascular workout that will incorporate various resistances to push both your aerobic and anaerobic thresholds to the limit. With an effective warm up and cool down period, you are certain to feel fantastic after this 30 minute class. Suitable for all levels of ability.
Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga in which there is a focus on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of asanas. It aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well-being. The discipline is considered by its practitioners to be a powerful tool to relieve the stresses of modern-day life, in turn helping to promote total physical and spiritual well-being. Iyengar differs from the other styles of yoga by three key elements: technique, sequence and timing. Taken by our fabulous instructor Angela, this 90 minute class welcomes all levels of fitness and is the ideal way to finish your Monday.
Legs, Bums & Tums
One of the most popular classes (especially with our female members), this class targets the three most common problem areas to shape and tone your whole body. Taken by the brilliant Julie, this 1 hour class incorporates a mixture of abdominal workouts, lunges, stretches and exercises for the legs, thighs, buttocks and stomach. Legs, Bums & Tums is a light hearted class designed to tone and build strength, so over time muscle definition will become more apparent as well as increasing stamina and cardiovascular fitness over all. Aerobic warm ups and stretch sessions at the end will also increase the flexibility of your body. If you want to get a flat tummy and tone your legs and bum this is a great workout for you!
A total body workout, combining all elements of fun and fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious increase of mood each time you leave class! Our fantastic Zumba instructor Leanne mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party where you won’t even feel like you’re working out. All levels of fitness are welcome to this fat burning, low intensity class that will increase your cardiovascular capacity.
