  • Shane Kierans

    Club Manager

    A Drogheda native, Shane joined the team in early 2017 having managed clubs in Cork for the previous 15 years. His background is in club management, swim teaching and sports team coaching. He is a rugby referee (no grief required at the desk!!!) and has officiated at International & European level

  • Laura Connolly

    Assistant Club Manager

    Laura has a background in sports such as boxing, karate, running, hurling, football etc. She has recently finished studying Leisure Facility Supervisory Management and also graduated in 2013 from UL with a National Certificate in Exercise and Health Related Fitness. She has a black belt in Karate and is also an IABA qualified boxing coach. Having won various County, Provincial and National Championships she also competed as part of the Irish team for both boxing and karate for a period of time. Laura is also our swim teacher.

  • John O’Brien

    Gym Instructor & Club Attendant

    John joined the team in 2007 after qualifying as a fitness instructor and lifeguard. He has a background in Jiu Jitsu and Thai boxing. John specialises in weight training and is the go-to-guy for all things gym based. Never without a smile and a helping hand John teaches various classes as he brings his infectious nature to all who enjoy our club.

  • Michael Eynaud

    Club Supervisor

    Michael joined the team in late 2018 with experience in a number of clubs starting in his hometown of Bantry. Michael has a background in mainly football but has an interest in all sports and has completed marathon and two half marathons. With a degree in Exercise and health and masters in sport science, Michael’s main focus and expertise is strength and conditioning and nutrition. He loves helping people in the gym and achieve their goals and is happy to help in any way he can.

  • Rachel O'Brien

    Swim Teacher & Club Attendant

    Rachel is Clare native with an impressive background in swimming. Currently studying Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences in UCC, Rachel has qualified for a number of Olympic trials in various swimming events and holds both beach and pool lifeguard qualifications. She has also represented Clare in community games in swimming events for 6 years straight and holds the title of ‘best female swimmer’ in Ennis swimming club along with an all star award for swimming in 2012.

  • Barry O'Callaghan

    Gym Instructor & Club Attendant

    A native of the southside of Cork city, Barry joined the team in June 2018 he is a qualified gym instructor, group exercise instruction and Athletic Performance Testing. He is currently in his final year in Recreation and Leisure Management in CIT he has a background in football both playing and coaching at a high level he currently plays in the Munster Senior League, he also plays in the national College and Universities Football League with CIT and is also coach in the Cork City Fc academy. If you want to improve physically for your sport Barry with make you a sport specific programme specific to you.

  • Roísín Boyle

    Swim Teacher & Club Attendant

    Rosin is her final year of business with sport and exercise and is our swim teacher here also. She has a background in football, camogie and swimming. She has an interest in all thing’s health and fitness / gym. With swimming one her main strengths, the cork native has competed in the national lifesaving competitions in the aquatic centre Dublin.
