Why You Should Join Aqua Aerobics?

Are you tired of the same old routine workouts? Why not try something new. Swimming and aqua aerobics is a great solution, and can be a different way to burn off those calories. We asked our instructor, Dawn, about the benefits of aqua aerobics and why you should join a class near you.

“As water lessens the effects of gravity, you’re able to move your body through a wider range of motion, which improves flexibility.

Swimming or Aqua Aerobics puts less strain on your muscles, which is a massive benefit for those who are overweight or obese, elderly, have arthritis, joint pain, osteoporosis, or an injury that makes weight-bearing exercise difficult or painful. It is also an ideal form of exercise for pregnant women.

Even your lungs get a beneficial workout, because the water pressure makes them work harder than they would on land.

Working out in water also helps build strength. Fighting against the push of the water activates your muscles.

The Water pressure helps put less strain on the heart by moving blood around the body.

The impact of gravity is less in the water allowing a greater range of motion.

Working out in water helps prevent overheating, helping you exercise for longer

And… most importantly it’s fun! It is not often you can say that about a workout.”
